Jesus’ Birthday

Published by notsoboringbiblequestions on

Around what date does the Bible say Jesus was born?

A. Early in the winter season of the first year
B. On the 25th day of the 12th month
C. In the month of December
D. Is that in the Bible?

It’s not in the Bible! The Gospels of Matthew and Luke (the only accounts of the nativity in the Bible) do not mention a time of year or date for Jesus’ birth. The vision in Revelation 12 of The Woman and The Dragon has been used with the pattern of the stars to outline a date of the Savior’s birth, but it isn’t as simple as an email calendar invite.
